I have some new bits to add to my keyfarming post (redirect notes added to original post).

You can speed up your keyfarm run by using a home portal stone (available from the gem store). This works for every race so if you prefer running a different race than human (the race with the fastest keyfarm) it will work.

After you’ve created your keyfarm character, before you do anything else, use your home portal stone. This will take you to your home instance. Exit through the gate into your home race’s city (travel). If you end up back in your starting zone you did the wrong thing. Go back and try again.

Once in your race’s city travel to the bank and swap out your gear, grab food and bags. If you are running the human keyfarm, in running to the bank you’ll get two key waypoints which will later speed your keyfarm, Palace and the one outside your home instance.

Go to your guild and get the tavern buff for XP.

Exit the guild hall.

Go to the nearest vendor and sell all your starter gear. Make sure you’ve equipped your extra bags. If you’ve done a level 80 boost one of the 15-slot bags works perfectly. That an an invisible bag make the perfect pairing for keyfarming.

Go through the portal to your starter zone. You will automatically get credited with the starting scenario and will level up accordingly.

Each time you need to return to your home instance use the home portal stone, exit through the gate (travel) and enter your next story episode by turning back toward the gate.

One final speed trick. You don’t need to exit an instance to travel to a waypoint. For instance, when you finish the “retrieve medical supplies” in the commoner (by common folk) branch (the fastest of all human branches) once you’ve grabbed the supplies and beaten down the bad guys and the instance has signaled it’s finished, open your map and relocate to the waypoint by Frances. You won’t see a green star telling you which waypoint but once you’ve done the story line enough times you’ll know which waypoint it is. Once you’ve talked to Frances use your home portal stone, travel out to Destiny’s Reach, turn back to the gate and enter your next storyline. FAST. And efficient.
